We have created local resource booklets for clients available in our lobby on the following topics: Housing Tips, Mental Health, Employment and Disability.  If you are a community partner and notice a change that needs to be made to a booklet please contact Bethany at 281-7480.

Housing Tips

In 2014, The Billings Corps saw an influx of chronically homeless and homeless individuals struggling to know what to do next to get housing.  Many homeless individuals would state that they would get the run around and often be denied from housing options while paying hundreds of dollars toward rental application fees.  Billings Corps decided a Housing Tips booklet was needed to have local resource listings, private landlord contacts, and information on what each property management company was looking for in a tenant.  After about a year of writing, research and contacting property management companies, the Billings Corps wrote and distributed the first copies of the Housing Tips booklet.

This booklet is now copied, reproduced and given to the homeless through churches, social services agencies, and copies are also available at the Billings Corps lobby.  It is estimated that more than 15,000 Housing Tips booklets have been produced and handed out to the homeless in Billings over the past five years.
