Because millions of Americans have been impacted by COVID-19 and are experiencing unprecedented need, The Salvation Army is starting its iconic Red Kettle Campaign earlier than ever before to ensure it can be a beacon of help and hope for those in need.
With unemployment rates expected to be between 10 to 11%, millions of parents will be looking for work come Christmastime. Based on the increased service we’ve already provided this year due to COVID-19, we could serve up to 155% more people this year with Christmas assistance assuming the resources are available.
